Easy Sugar Cookies





Serves 24
It's hard to top the classic sugar cookie.
Ingredients:
| 2 3/4 cups flour |
| 1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
| 1 teaspoon baking soda |
| 1 cup butter |
| 1 1/2 cups white sugar |
| 1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
| 1 egg |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Mix together flour, baking powder and baking soda in a small bowl; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla to butter mixture; beat to combine. Slowly blend in dry ingredients.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake, until golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove cookies from oven and let stand on cookie sheet for about two minutes before removing and transferring to wire racks to cool.
